Initially you will be asked about your enquiry and put through to one of the following:
Information Advisors
Information advisers will help you find the right course or arrange for you to receive more information.
Learning Advisors
Learning advisers can help you if you need info on a particular career or issues like funding and childcare.
Lifelong Learning Advisors
Lifelong learning advisors will help you decide which career is best for you and, based on your skills and interests, they'll work with you to develop an action plan.
The advisors always put your needs first. If they can't give you the information you want, they'll know someone who can.
When you call, it will help if you:
- Find somewhere quiet
- Write down a few notes about yourself and what you'd like to talk about
- Choose a time when you won't be disturbed and have a pen and paper handy
Advisors will only give you information you want and won’t try to sell you something. Remember, the phone call is free, impartial and confidential. You may be asked for some personal information, but don’t worry! This information is used to ensure you get the most appropriate advice and it helps us to build up a picture of who is calling the helpline, so we can be sure we're reaching everyone. However, you are under no obligation to give personal information if you don't want to - it's all voluntary.
Learndirect Advice is a great way to get learning and careers information, so call us on 0800 093 5001 and see what you can achieve!
The line is open from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week.
